Panel Discussion: The role of Skills in building an agile and high performing workforce
Over the past couple of years it has become clear that Skills is a critical issue for HR teams as much as it is for L&D. With most organisations recognising that they have significant and growing skills gaps that they are unable to fill through recruiting and the need to upskill and reskill the workforce to meet future business needs and challenges. Skills is now central to workforce strategy and foundational to both HCM and talent solutions too. To have an agile workforce you need to have a comprehensive understanding of what skills you need and what you have. You also need to align the different parts of your HR ecosystem to manage and share them – and that’s proving to be a massive challenge. This panel, chaired by David Perring, Fosway Group’s Chief Insights Officer will explore:
- The reality of the skills challenge for HR teams and HR strategy
- How the panel members see Skills and their journey to making a more agile workforce
- The relationship between Skills and Workforce Intelligence
- Why Agile Organisations need to a comprehensive Skills strategy too
