Data Engineering Apprenticeship
Makers Data Engineering Curriculum
The Makers apprenticeship programme follows the Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship standard enhanced with Data Engineering training.
Data Engineers focus on designing, constructing, and maintaining the systems and architecture that allow for the efficient collection, storage, and organisation of large volumes of data. Data Analysts specialise in working with this data to derive valuable insights that facilitate informed decision-making. Collaboration between these roles is common, meaning knowledge and understanding of both fields is critical for effective communication, proactive improvements and delivering quality data processing and analytical outcomes.
The following modules are covered during the Bootcamp:
FOUNDATIONS AND DEV TOOLS: WEEKS 1–2
ENGINEERING PRACTICES (GOLDEN SQUARE): WEEKS 3-4
DATABASE-BACKED WEB APPLICATIONS: WEEKS 5-6
CLOUD DEPLOYMENT: WEEK 7
ENGINEERING PROJECT: 1 WEEK 8
