Software Developer Apprenticeship
Makers Software Developer Curriculum
The Makers apprenticeship programme follows the Level 4 Software Engineering apprenticeship standard.
We’re proud to have our curriculum founded on core programming principles.
The course is project-based and goal-oriented: Makers spend the majority of their time working in
pairs or groups to solve problems, managing their own time and workflows with our support.
We train people in how to learn—metacognitive skills—so that they can pick up new
technologies and ways of working at the drop of a hat. This isn’t theory or classroom learning -
it’s practical, collaborative problem-solving - day-in, day-out. By the end of this programme, engineers will be able to effectively undertake tasks in managing and improving software deployments.
The following modules are covered during the Bootcamp:
Foundations and Dev Tools: Weeks 1 - 2
Engineering Practices (Golder Square): Weeks 3 - 4
Data Based Back Web Applications: Weeks 5 - 6
Cloud Deployment: Week 7
Engineering Project 1: Week 8
