Laura Newman-Milone is the Global Head of People Analytics at Diageo, where she leads the company’s data-driven approach to workforce insights and decision-making. With over a decade of international experience in people analytics, employee engagement research, and consumer insights, she specialises in leveraging data to drive significant business impact.
Laura began her career in market research, working across diverse industries to identify key business challenges and develop data-driven strategies for clients. She honed her expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, employing techniques such as focus groups, brand tracking, pricing elasticity studies, segmentation, and concept testing.
She later joined Woolworths Group, Australia’s largest retail employer, during the relaunch of its employee listening initiatives amid the pandemic - a critical effort in redefining the employee experience for frontline workers. This transformation reshaped how the organisation gathered and acted on workforce insights. Now leading the People Analytics team at Diageo, Laura embeds analytics into HR transformation, working with senior leaders to align people data with strategic business objectives and drive meaningful change.
An accomplished endurance athlete, Laura has competed in the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii and is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
